 Fiber-To-The-Home – Southeast Asia's
Latest Broadband Technology
That Can Serve All Your Needs

Fiber-to-the-home, the latest broadband internet technology with up to 100 Mbps speed, is the latest technology that can serve all your needs today and beyond, featuring television, telephone, and internet capabilities simultaneously.

Kobsak Chinawongwatana, Executive Director, Fiber-to-the-home Co. Ltd. said “The company is launching Thailand 's first ‘fiber broadband technology', the most complete fiber-optic communication system. It is the latest technology ever launched in the Southeast Asian region that will meet all the needs of modern internet users with high speed and complete solutions, featuring the ‘triple play' – television, telephone, and internet – abilities through a fiber-optic line. With Fiber-to-the Home technology, users can rest assured that their internet will always stay connected, and yet will be able to watch television and use a telephone in the same time”.

“The fiber broadband system provides completeness in both sound and vision, allowing users to be able to stay in touch with anyone, anywhere in the world with just their fingertips. It also supports a virtual classroom through the ‘e-education system' where students can attend classes remotely and yet can still interact with their teachers in a different location, be they inside or outside the country. Patients can see their doctors without traveling to the hospital. Businessmen can conduct a meeting or seminar away from their offices, saving time, energy, and expenses. In addition, the fiber-to-the-home technology can also work as a security system for your home. Unlike the closed-circuit television system, fiber-to-the-home system allows you to see what is happening inside your home from a remote location through a single fiber optic line”.

“Fiber-to-the-home system also offers you with unlimited entertainment experiences, be they movies, music, or games. Downloading or uploading big files is no longer a problem for you since you are connected directly to the internet, eliminating need for a modem to dial”.

“At present, this system is only available in selected countries, such as the United States , Japan , and Australia . Thailand 's Fiber-To-The-Home technology is supported by Australia and Japan , as well as the Asia-Pacific's Fiber-To-The-Home Association which promotes and develops this technology in different countries”.

“We can proudly say that this technology is the best technology today because it enables communications to proceed at high speed serving every need of our lifestyles today. It is the “Fiber broadband life” that offers you more than you can think it could. It makes your life easier and, at the same time, supports the government's energy saving policy,” added Kobsak.
